Anet owe me nothing, but the OP owes me at least 5 minutes of my life back, and a better grasp of English grammar.

- Got the most powerful build and spent 10k on tomes, but got nerfed the next day.
- Got a rare green drop, but lagged out before picking it up.
- Spent 75k for elite armor, but the rare materials prices spiked on a new update. Now you realize you could have 300k if you didn't use it on the armor.
- Spent 100k on a necrid horsemen when mini pets first came out. Three months later, your horsemen price is 20k.
- Running SoO, everyone payed you 8k and about to get to boss. Then you lagged for 5 minutes and everyone left, calling you a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing scammer then reported you.
WHAT DOES ANET OWE YOU AND WHY?
|
1: Lag isn't always Anets fault. Blame your ISP/shitty connection.
2: See above.
3: Bummer.
4: There are no "rare" green drops.
5: ...
6: .....Clearly you don't understand how an economy works.
7: See points about ISP.
Anet don't "owe" you anything.
Thank you, have a nice day.

+1 for the link, I feel it's really relevant to the discussion.

I roflmao. thanks for the entertainment,
You should probably change the thread title to: I would have XXX gold if XXX didn't happen. If an ArenaNet liaison happens to read it they might report that as a problem and fix it. After that maybe we can all move to stay in Germany, I hear they have the best internet connection.

Ouch, he really let loose on that poor guy. :P +1 to Neil Gaiman too, and yeah. In context, definitely relevant.
However, I think the "blame your ISP" stuff is pretty much drilled into the OP's head by now. Let's not be redundant? :P
I'd go by the "I want my hours back in cash-form!" thing, but I get called in for work. It'd be nice, though. Hells yeah.

I thought so too. Now GW is a product more than art, and as such I feel they have an obligation to support the sale they have made with a certain amount of quality. After all, they aren't giving me anything, I paid for this.
That being said, I have gotten a pretty good bargain out of the deal, as far as game time per dollars spent, so I can't complain too much.
The artistic comparison would be if the Dark Tower series (by Steven King) had ended at the end of the third book, where the characters where on a train barreling towards a rock wall or something. We need denoument (hehe, fancy word), but we can't expect things to go on forever.
